Neuropsychological Assessment
Neuropsychological assessment is designed to assess one’s brain functioning.
Neuropsychological assessment allows us to take a “snapshot” of the brain's functioning and inform us of any dysfunctions.
A neuropsychological evaluation is a lengthy evaluation that includes clinical interviews and administration of standardized tests that are sensitive to the brain dysfunction along with self- and other questionnaires.
We often review medical files and collect other collateral information to help us compose a comprehensive report that will help us answer what parts of the brain are affected and what cognitive functions are impacted.
Neuropsychological evaluation often helps in differential diagnosis as it can detect brain impairments in the absence of clear anatomical impairment evidenced by brain imaging data. We also often evaluate the impact of psychological conditions on cognitive functioning.
Offered in-person only.
Cost of an assessment depends on the type of assessment and ranges from $2000 - $3000.
